Week of 9/19-9/24

Hi All,

Below is the schedule for the week. We are in need of a few more chaperones and as many folks that can with the pit crew. Thank you to all who volunteer this past weekend and congrats to the band on an excellent first competition performance.

Mon 9/19- No Activities

Tues 9/20-Rehearsal 5:30-8:30pm

Wed 9/21- No Activities

Thurs 9/22- Rehearsal 5:30-8:30pm

Fri 9/23- No School- Please make sure to practice assigned material from Thursday nights rehearsal.

Sat 9/24- Competition at Spring Mill High School WV

Report Time- 7:00am
7:00-10:00am Rehearsal
10:00-11:15 Lunch and pack trailers (Attn: Pit Crew Drivers-Trailers need to be on the road ASAP)
11:30 Depart for Spring Mill
12:45 Arrive Spring Mill
12:45-1:00pm Set Up
1:00pm Warm Up
1:45pm Move to Gate
2:00pm Performance
3:15pm Students/Chaperones return to visitor stands after changing out of uniform. Students may be dismissed by section to purchase food & watch other bands, respectfully, as a group.
4:45pm Awards
5:15pm Depart Spring Mill for THS
6:45pm Arrive THS: Please help put equipment away and clean up the band room before you leave.

Students:
Please make sure you have all the components to your uniform including: Band Show Shirt, Gym Shorts, Black Dress Socks, Black Gloves.

Rehearsal Attendance- Please make sure that you/your student is at rehearsal on time with the proper equipment. Attendance to evening rehearsals is essential in putting the whole production together and is part of the student's grade. Every time one person misses we must go back and review for that individual and thus takes away from the group progressing as a whole. Please review band handbook on www.thsimb.org for the attendance policy and notification procedures.

Practice: Students are expected to practice on non rehearsal nights to address specific areas in there music or visuals. Please help in monitoring this practice time and get involved in their practice session.


Grades: Midterm Grade cut off is this Thursday: Students please look over grades and make sure to turn in classwork and homework assignments to your teachers.  If you would like to go over your grade with me please come talk to me during flex time.

Spirit Wear Order: We are currently in the process of collecting a second order. Please use the online interface at http://thsimb.org/spiritwear/ and place your order through the website (https://squareup.com/store/tuscarora-high-school-instrumental-music-boosters). This Friday, 9/23/16, is the cut off for the second order.
